Özet

Bu bölümde, yerel zemin etkilerinin deprem tehlikesi, kent planlaması ve sismik mikrobölgeleme araştırmalarındaki kritik rolü incelenmekte ve Eskişehir sedimanter havzasında gerçekleştirilen mühendislik jeofiziği çalışmaları sunulmaktadır. Sismik dalgaların sığ zemin tabakalarından geçerken uğradığı genlik ve hız değişimleri; havzanın derinlik geometrisi, sediman kalınlığı, yoğunluk ve hız farklarına bağlı olarak zemin büyütmesine, rezonansa ve yakınsama (odaklanma) etkilerine neden olmaktadır. Kentsel alanlarda sismik risklerin azaltılması ve güvenli yerleşim alanlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla diri fay hatlarının 1/1000 ölçeğinde haritalanması, fay sakınım bantlarının oluşturulması, zemin sıvılaşması, taşıma gücü kaybı ve heyelan tehlikelerinin analizi hayati önem taşımaktadır. Araştırmada, pasif çevre gürültüsü kayıtlarına dayanan mikrotremor (H/V spektral oran) yöntemi kullanılarak zemin hâkim titreşim frekansları ile anakaya derinlikleri belirlenmiştir. Eskişehir havzası genelinde 318 farklı noktada yürütülen tek istasyon mikrotremor ölçümleri sonucunda, ova genelinde hâkim frekansların 0.2-0.5 Hz arasında değiştiği, topoğrafya yükseldikçe frekans değerlerinin arttığı ve anakaya derinliğinin 600-650 metreye kadar ulaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca sismik yansıma yöntemiyle örtülü fayların tespiti desteklenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, Eskişehir havzasının normal faylarla kontrol edilen bir yarım graben modeli sergilediğini ve mikrobölgeleme planlamalarında zemin-yapı rezonans risklerinin öncelikli olarak değerlendirilmesi gerektiğini göstermektedir.

In this chapter, the critical role of local site effects in earthquake hazard, urban planning, and seismic microzonation research is examined, and engineering geophysics studies conducted in the Eskişehir sedimentary basin are presented. Amplitude and velocity changes experienced by seismic waves propagating through shallow soil layers lead to site amplification, resonance, and focusing (convergence) effects depending on basin depth geometry, sediment thickness, and density and velocity contrasts. To reduce seismic risks in urban areas and determine safe settlement areas, 1/1000 scale mapping of active fault lines, establishment of fault setback zones, and analysis of soil liquefaction, loss of bearing capacity, and landslide hazards are of vital importance. In the research, predominant soil vibration frequencies and bedrock depths were determined using the microtremor (H/V spectral ratio) method based on passive ambient noise recordings. As a result of single-station microtremor measurements conducted at 318 different points across the Eskişehir basin, it was determined that predominant frequencies vary between 0.2-0.5 Hz across the plain, frequency values increase as topography rises, and bedrock depth reaches up to 600-650 meters. Additionally, the detection of buried faults was supported by the seismic reflection method. The obtained data demonstrate that the Eskişehir basin exhibits a half-graben model controlled by normal faults, and soil-structure resonance risks must be evaluated as a priority in microzonation planning.)
